Old Churches

Located on Bernadino Street in Guadalupe Viejo the Nuestra Señora de Gracia Church or Guadalupe Ruins are the remains of a church over 350 year old.  This old church built during the Spanish rule is built in Doric architecture was completed in 1629. It is just one of many old Spanish built churches found around Metro Manila. Another such church is the Saints Peter and Paul Church in D. M. Rivera Street, Poblacion Makati.

To understand the City of Makati's cultural heritage one has to visit the Museo ng Makati on J. P. Rizal Street in Poblacion.The Museo was built in 1918 In this museum are found collections of ethnic and Natural History artifacts including fossils of prehistoric creatures.This is the place to visit to get a feel of the history of Makati which is illustrated in a collection of rare photographs and paintings.
